The Fourth

I was going to wait and post about the 4th of July after I posted about our trip to Spokane, ya know, to keep things in order. Well, I took hardly any pictures on my camera while I was there and it's such a pain get the ones off other people's cameras. The photos are so big they take forever to email.

Anyway, we usually don't get much of a 4th because Tyler is always working, but this year we actually got to play! We started the day with the Rexburg parade. Then we went boating and had a BBQ. When we got home we just put Dominic to bed and sat on the curb outside to watch all the neighbors shoot off fireworks. One neighbor just a few houses down had spent some major cash on fireworks and put on a pretty good show for us!

 At the parade...

Just about every year Ray's Chevron borrows the Muir's blue Cadillac for the parade. This year was pretty funny...The two men in the back of the car have Obama/Romney masks on. Behind them were a bunch of young guys in work jumpsuits dancing to "Grease Lightning".

Boating... I actually did participate in tubing, which is pretty tricky with a belly. I rode on my hands and knees at slow speeds :).

I caught a pretty good action shot here...

Dominic did get to see a pretty amazing fireworks show in Driggs, ID the Saturday before the 4th. We were a little worried the noise would be too much, but he did good. This picture cracks me up...he was sooo tired!
