Party in the Burg

Two weekends ago my mom came down from Spokane and Angela and Allie came up from Provo... all in seperate cars of course... :/. We pretty much had a family reunion in Rexburg.

Playing with his cousin in the new pool Grandma Weathers got him for his birthday. (Yes Brinlee is one tough chick...Dominic stole her Noah toy!)

We went to Yellowstone with everyone on Saturday...

We even had a picnic there. I can't remember who, but someone put an olive on Dominic's finger and he thought it was the funniest thing ever.

He loved watching Old Faithful.

In one of the many gift shops we went in.

Buffalo just crossing the street. One almost hit Allie's brand new car...it scared her to say the least! (Notice Tyler in the mirror in the car in front of us. :)

My mom and Angela left on Sunday, but Allie stayed till Tuesday. On Tuesday I went up to Spokane with her for a week. I will have to do a post on that later. I'm actually still waiting for some pics to be sent to me because I didn't take very many. Until then...

Dominic's First Birthday!

Holy cow! Can you believe he was born a year ago?! I can't. This last year has been quite the adventure with this little rascal around and I know it's just going to crazier. Honestly, he has brought so much joy into our lives and we feel so blessed to have him.

On Monday, his birthday, we did a small family celebration. I'll admit I am not the extravagant party throwing type. We blew up some Thomas the Train balloons, (He loves Thomas...already), put up some blue streamers, and baked a Funfetti cake that I cut into the shape of a 1. That was the extent of my party decorations! Grandma and Grandpa Muir, Aunt Karisa, Aunt Whitney and Uncle Joey with cousin Brinlee, and Tyler and I were the extent of the party guests. We started the party by trying to recreate a photo from my first birthday. I can't seem to find the one from my birthday, but here is the recreation...

Then we sang happy birthday and I blew out his candle. When we dished up the cake he mostly just wanted to play with it. Finally, we stuck his hand in his mouth for him and well he took it from there...

Then he opened his presents...

Grandma and Grandpa got him a little camp chair, clothes, books, and a Little People dump truck, Karisa got him a soccer ball, (he loves to kick things so it was perfect), Brinlee got him a little train, and mom and dad got him a Thomas book, backpack, and sit n' ride. He loved/loves all of them!

Anniversary and Such

We had our 4 year anniversary just over a week ago. It seems like forever ago when we got married, but I don't know what we did for the last four years! Well, I guess we did move eight times, had a baby, and are now expecting another one. Even though these years haven't been anything like I expected they've been great. I'm sure glad I found Tyler to spend eternity with!

For our anniversary we went down to the big city, Idaho Falls, went to dinner, and then stayed at a hotel downtown. When I was taking a bunch of pictures of our room Tyler said, "You aren't going to post these, are you?" I just told him I wasn't going to on Facebook. :)

Memorial Day was actually the Monday before our anniversary. We went with all the Muirs to Green Canyon hot springs, swam and ate dinner there. Dominic is pretty much a natural born swimmer! He loved cruising around the pool kicking his legs and flailing his arms. It was super cute.

(Don't mind my crazy sideburn there...)

What a chunker!

Well, that's pretty much what we've been up to lately. This week I've just been waiting for him to get some more teeth in. He has been one cranky child!
