This is only my second time being sick this winter. I think that's pretty good for my first time being in a middle school in 12 years. There are germs everywhere, as you know or can imagine. It's Friday night and I'm home alone while my man is working for minimum wage at a movie theater so we can get super cheap movies.
Being sick and home alone I have no desire to clean our disastrous room so I'm in front of the computer watching brociety.com (hoping for a good deal on a new snowboard), listening to E! True Hollywood story on the TV in the next room, and blog stalking...kind of. I'm mostly looking at blogs from people I know/knew from high school. All are under 30 and most are married. I see all their craft projects, coupon clippings, fancy food projects, ultrasound pics, and decorated houses and keep thinking, "Wow, what's wrong with me?"
Ever since I can remember I was bored with crafty things. About a year ago I decided it was time to try it again. I went to the local craft store and bought too many things and spent too much money. I got a short start to a handbag (haven't finished it), made about six head pieces, a necklace, and became bored.
How does one even go about clipping coupons? The closest I get to coupon clipping is taking the Dairy Queen coupons we get in the mail and buying a Blizzard and getting one free :)
I don't like cooking. Poor Tyler. He loves to eat.
Some day I will have a real ultrasound pic to show all of you. That will be a good day.
Our small apartment just recently stopped looking like a bachelor pad, but only because we ditched the ratted old love seat for a set of my parents old couches and finally put real pictures in our frames to replace the mystery family photos. A few months ago 'Usher' was with me at a married friends apartment. It was cutely decorated with Easter decor. Usher said to me, "When are you going to start decorating your apartment for the holiday's? *pause* When you stop wearing skinny jeans?" She pretty much summed it up. Such a witty girl.
Instead I spend my time reading under a blanket on the couch, playing all sorts of different sports, watching movies with my man (I don't know why I keep saying that), and shopping online. Maybe I should find a new hobby. Any ideas?

It's ok that you're not crafty or decorate your apartment. I think it's just more a personality thing. Once you have kids and are home more you'll have that time at home to get more creative. So when are these little one's coming to your family ;) j/k
Sounds like you, Ange, and Allie have all gotten some sort of winter sickness. Not fun. Thank Heavens it has not hit our home hard, yet! Knocking on wood right now.
Glad you liked the video of J boy on the blog. He is hilarious. Can't wait for you guys to entertain my kids for me, they love you guys! See ya soon
wow you look so cute in those wedding photos! oh how i miss my prekids body. dont feel bad i am not a coupon clipping, home decorating, crafty kid of girl either. i have actually been trying to find a hobby thats cheap takes little time and doesnt make a huge mess or take up tons of space...so far ive got nothing. good luck!
Honestly could we be more alike? I guess thats why we became best friends right? So this isn't really a hobby, but I have come to find that signing up for races gets me more motivated to get my butt up and exercise. Even if it is only a 5k, I'm actually finding them to be really fun and usually the money goes to a good cause! But hey don't worry, nothings wrong with you because everything you described sounds exactly like how my life is right now.
Kim your awesome, I love it you make me laugh! It took Tyler and I a while to start decorating our apt. but once we started I pretty much couldn't stop. I have just recently started sewing, I get so frustrated with it though, that is why I have only made 3 things ha. Guess what though, I went snowboarding the other day and I can finally carve and can kinda jump now yeah!!!!
If it makes you feel any better, I'm under 30, not married, not crafty, don't cut coupons, don't cook, and don't really have a cutesy apartment. So, nothing's wrong with you. We just don't all fit in that mold. About a year ago I really made an effort to cut coupons and keep them in my wallet but honestly, it'd save me like, $3-4. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, but saving $0.35 on one item isn't really worth the hassle to me.
Don't feel too bad for Tyler, I bet he'd rather have a wife who enjoys sports than one who makes crafts (no offense to the crafty women, bravo to you.)
Don't let living in the bubble make you think anything is wrong with you. My sister in law and I were just having this conversation today. She and my brother are having their 4th anniversary next week and don't have kids yet and people look at them like there's something wrong with them. I think there's something wrong with those people, for thinking that way. If people wanna have kids right away, good for them. If other people wanna wait a few years and do other things, and then have kids, good for them, ya know?
Tyler loves you because of who you are!! Embrace it. :)
