Well everyone I'm moving to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in just two and a half months. I know what you're thinking, what in the world is in Milwaukee? Besides a new adventure, my boy friend, and lake Michigan, lots of things.
I feel somewhat deprived of traveling experiences and I'm looking forward to something new and exciting. And who says the Midwest is anything but new and exciting? Also, I will be only 4 hours away from one of my favorite sisters and her family in Indianapolis. ;)
Here are a few things about Milwaukee that you might have not known:
- It's the largest city in Wisconsin and the 22nd largest in the United States. (Population about 606,000 not including surrounding suburbs.)
- Temperatures are mild because of the close proximity to lake Michigan. It's cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter than regions further from the lake.

- Milwaukee has one of the highest per capita student populations in North America, ranking 6th in cities in the U.S. and Canada.
- The Milwaukee metropolitan area ranks fifth in the United States in terms of the number of Fortune 500 company headquarters as a share of the population.
- The city was once the number one beer producing city in the world.
- It is no longer one of the 25 most dangerous cities in America. (That's reassuring!)
- Milwaukee's most visually prominent cultural attraction is the Milwaukee Art Museum. (The building with the wing looking top in the picture above.)
- The city advertises itself as "A Great Place on a Great Lake". Catchy right?

So, it looks like I will be having a fun time in a fun city. That is my new slogan for the summer. I'm in advertising, give me a break!

YEAH!!! It's so fun to move some where new. a little scary but oh so fun! there will be TONS of fun things to do living in a REAL city. Plus it gets you that much closer to New York (you must stop by if you visit) moving for a boyfriend? this isnt serious is it??

So I found your blog through Nycole's. That's an exciting move! We're always going to Milwaukee. It's a fun city. We live in Gurnee, IL which is right in the middle of Chicago and Milwaukee. Take advantage of the city and even Chicago!
Moving is awesome. Packing stinks, but oh well.
